The Sharpest AR9 in Modern Warfare

The Maxim Defense MD:9 series represents a purpose-built AR-9 platform engineered for modern combat applications. From its inception, the MD:9 was designed to meet the demanding operational needs of military, law enforcement, and advanced civilian users. Chambered in 9mm, the platform combines lightweight handling, compact maneuverability, and enhanced controllability to deliver exceptional field performance.

The MD:9 lineup ranges from the ultra-compact MD:9-K to the full-length MD:9 Carbine, providing mission versatility for CQB operations, routine training, or home defense. Every variant features a free-floating barrel to maximize accuracy, a monolithic-style upper receiver for structural rigidity, and Maxim’s patented M-RAX™ / M-SLOT™ compatible handguard system. VFC has chosen the MD:9 K-SBR as the base model for its gas blowback rifle (GBBR) development. This airsoft variant is built on entirely new molds to authentically replicate the compact aesthetics and design of the original MD:9. Internally, it features a newly engineered aluminum-cut bolt carrier with advanced coating, combined with VFC’s proven AR-9 GBBR fire control system. Moreover, the MD:9 GBBR is fully compatible with VFCs entire G-series magazine line. In both form and function, the VFC MD:9 delivers an uncompromisingly faithful representation of Maxim Defenses’s vision for the MD:9 series.

Following the official debut of the MD:9 GBBR—our first fully licensed Maxim Defense gas blowback model—VFC is set to deepen its collaboration with Maxim Defense, launching a complete lineup of authorized products across both GBBR and AEG platforms. These upcoming releases will bring to market a new generation of Airsoft tactical replicas, combining authentic design with functional value.
